There are over 100 million people all around the world who speak Farsi, a language also known to many as “Persian”.  Over 100 million – yet, you cannot choose it as a language you speak, to be added to your profile, or search for other members who speak it on match.com.  You can on Friends Match Me; it is one of 32 languages, besides an “Other” option.  Why doesn’t match.com include Persian/Farsi as a language option?  The paid dating site match.com has 18 languages you can choose from as a member to add to your profile and to do searches on.  Strangely, while languages spoken by 5-10 milltion people around the world get their own language category on match.com, a language spoken by over 100 million people around the world gets grouped in with the “Other” category.  Member site feedback has not changed match.com’s mind about adding Persian/Farsi as a language option.  We will forward this blog post to match.com for a response and keep you posted!
