Yes, if you didn’t know already, John Krasinski – The Office’s funny hottie Jim Halpert – is married.  (And he is the voice in the current esurance commercials!).  Krasinski began dating the British actress Emily Blunt in November 2008, announced they’re engaged in August 2009, and married in Italy in July 2010.

So back to the topic – what did the NBC hit series star Krasinski choose for his first date with Blunt?  Or better question, where?!  As Krasinski tells Conan O’Brien last Thursday (promo for his new whale movie “Big Miracle”) their first date was at a gun range.  No typo.  Krasinski tells host Conan: “I think that I was so sure that I would never end up with her because she’d be like ‘This is ridiculous, I can have anyone, not you’… I was like, ‘I’m going to blow it right away and then that way you don’t feel bad.'”

Unlike real estate, it must not be Location, Location, Location so much for a successful first date (where you want a second date).  Must be Right Person, Right Person, Right Person, … and Personality, Personality, Personality. Missed that Conan?  Watch it here (you can also catch Krasinski’s imitation of a fisherman marionette):

We should also mention that Krasinski also promoted his new movie on ABC’s Jimmy Kimmel last Wednesday night … you know Kimmel hates to be left out!  We find out that Kimmel and Krasinski are neighbors.  And Krasinski is a pranskter like his TV character Jim Halpert! …Scared Kimmel’s girlfriend with a backyard prank.

Interesting side note: In 2000, Krasinski was script intern on Late Night with Conan O’Brien.
